Another Holland day out… this time we went to the Birmingham Sea Life Centre!
First of all, don’t pay the full price. You get some great deals on Kellog’s cereal boxes and voucher codes on Groupon and Co. We made use of a 2 for 1 offer and so it cost us £12.50 per adult.
Going in July in the middle of the school holidays probably wasn’t the wisest idea but as we had the week off we thought we’d give it a go. It was very busy, as expected, but the queues moved down really quickly. As soon as you walk in you will see the penguins which to me was the highlight of the day. They are such a joy to watch!!
I don’t want to give too much away but suffice to say there’s plenty to see. They also give you a ‘Dive log book’ which encourages children to explore and learn about the various different species by way of collecting ‘stamps’.
Parking: closest car park is Brindleyplace (less than 1 minute walk)
Facilities: drinks and snacks machine, toilets, play area (Lego). The venue is accessible via wheelchair/pushchair throughout.
